Revolution X Patricia Bright | REVIEW

So I am sitting in bed minding my own business and get a ping, its an email, subject: REVOLUTION X PATRICIA BRIGHT. Approximately 4 minutes later another ping, its an email, subject: Order Received. I have been watching Patricia Bright on Youtube ever since it was brit pop princess, I missed out on her MAC collaboration so it was only right that I try this out especially when the collaboration is with one of my favourite makeup brands; Revolution Beauty. A little fun fact my first ever eyeshadow palette that I bought was from makeup revolution. As you guys know I have tried many of revolutions other collabs and I am yet to be disappointed.

Colours used: 100% coco, no drama, no games played, perfection, date night.

The Patricia Bright full collection has two palettes rich in life and rich in colour as well as four face palettes, I purchased the rich in life eyeshadow palette and the ‘you are gold’ face palette, which I recently smashed but lets not get into that heartbreak.

If you haven’t read one of my reviews I just go through four different categories to review a product:

  • Affordability(is it worth the price?)
  • Blend-ability (how does the formula work)
  • Pigment (can we see you?)
  • Versatility (how many looks can we get out of it).

Colours used: booked n busy, jetsetter, try me, diamonds 4 breakfast, biggest fan

Swatches: Picture from Revolution Beauty

Affordability:

£20.00 (palette), £8.00 (face palette) – 8/10, This price for the palette is not bad at all however when you compare it to other collaborations that revolution have, this price is double.

Other collab palettes are usually in the price range of £10.00 – £12.00, personally I do not see a huge difference in the formulas compared to other palettes. The shimmers in Patricias palette are much richer and almost have an amazing buttery feel.

Overall I would have liked to pay less for the eyeshadow palette only because of how much Ive spent on the others but I do not regret buying this palette.

The face palette on the other hand is WORTH it especially at a price mark of just £8.00 it is my current favourite and I see myself reaching for it nearly everyday.

Blend-ability:

8/10, I’ve never had an issue with Revolution when it comes to blend-ability, I know what to expect and I love that.

Pigment:

9/10, as you can see the pigment is very much there! I will say for the shimmers you definitely have to wet the brush (see the video below) or use your finger for the true pigment to come through.

Versatility:

10/10, You can create a lot of looks with palette, it has great versatility and makes it so much more worth it all round, you are definitely getting a lot for your money.

Overall:

You better go and get yourself this palette and support this Patricia Bright collaboration! I also highly recommend the face palettes. I am not disappointed and I am sure this palette will be used over and over! Let me know if you have tried this palette or are going to in the comments below and don’t forget to watch my Youtube video below!
